There are three simple life choices that distinguishes self-made millionaires from the mediocre. They are:
  • They are conscious of the company they keep;
  • The people they listen to and;
  • The books they read
The Company They Keep
You smell like the company you keep. Self-made millionaires are selective when it comes to the people they allow in their circle. They don't just follow through relationships. They are intentional about them. Jack Canfield told a story of how he asked Anthony Robbins, how he makes over a hundred million yearly turn over. He said, if you want to become a millionaire flock around and keep millionaire friends. In no time you too will become a millionaire. We are not suggesting that all your relationships should be built around you and what you want to gain from them. We are saying being intentional about the people you allow into your circle of influence will determine how far you go in life.

The People They Listen To
Self-made millionaires consume a lot of time everyday listening to the right people through- reading inspiring books, listening to motivational tapes or investigating the success secrets of the world's generals in their autobiographies and interviews. If there is a secret, it is this; your mind is formed by the words it feeds on, on a daily basis. Every successful person understands this truth. You can't envision to become a millionaire and feed your heart with the words of a mediocre. This is why we encourage everyone in our seminars to be under the leadership of a proven mentor. You need to think aright. Your focus should be listening  to those who have gone through the path you're going, people who are already where you want to be. Your mentor is your future figure- the glance you have to your desired future.  "Thousandnaires" should be mentored by millionaires, millionaires should be mentored by billionaires and, billionaires should be mentored by trillionaires ( as there will be many in the nearest future).

The Books They Read
Too much emphasis can't be made on the fact that knowledge is power. Getting the requisite information in your field will change your life. It is said that one can be in the top one percent in any profession if he/she spends at least an hour everyday reading on the subject matter consistently for the next then ten years. There's no one who has mastered the art of financial prosperity that haven't done this. Books are the most valued possession of self-made millionaires. You can only learn to earn not earn to learn. Please, understand here that random knowledge will not take you far on the ladder of financial prosperity. It is getting the requisite knowledge in your field, to enhance your skills that will make you unshakeable.
